A Long Winter's Nap

Favorite Photo Friday (might be my favorite photo - ever.)

Quote of the Day:
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
from Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore

Leo, the napping cat

All the gifts have been handed out, opened, admired, and the wrappings and trimming have been put away. As we're saying good-bye to the holidays and hello to the New Year, let us all take a few moments to rest, reflect, and enjoy.

Go. Create. Inspire!

Journaling Prompt:  What are your reflections on the holidays, the New Year, napping?

Our cat loved, loved, loved sleeping beneath the Christmas tree all season. She misses it now :(

There's always a little bit of sadness seeing the holidays go, but onward to new projects and ideas with the New Year ...

The holidays? Sweet memories.
The New Year? Happy expectations.
Naps? A big fan of them!

Don't have cats, but my dog tried to bury her rawhide treat under the Christmas tree this year. Luckily I stopped her before she knocked the whole thing over.

Leo has the good life, I tell you. What a blessed cat he is! I enjoyed getting to know him during our recent visit. He's got a darling personality. And he can do much to teach us about what's important in life. Among those important things: naps. Go Leo!
